The original skincare cult favorite gets a major update on its 75th year

Status

The skincare industry is often associated with so-called cult favorites that promise to transform skin for the better. From astringent to zinc oxide, every decade has its own breakthrough product that gains the following of the generation.

Few products have the combination of universality, scientific backing, and top-quality ingredients that make a cult favorite. And even fewer can hold their cult status quite like Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, which has remained a staple of beauty magazines and Dermatologists’ prescriptions throughout the decades.

Cetaphil’s signature product was invented in 1947 to address the need for gentle but effective skin cleansing. But word-of-mouth spread beyond the medical community, and in a short time it became the bestseller and household name that it is today.

The secret to Cetaphil’s success was its gentle but effective formula, which has remained essentially the same through the years. But as science progresses, even classics need an update—and Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser is getting one after 75 years.

“The challenges faced by people with sensitive skin constantly change, and are no longer the just same ones that we faced 75 years ago,” says Galderma Philippines Business Unit-Head, Jade Silva-netto Ponoc. “Not only do we have to keep up with these challenges—we have to stay ahead and innovate with the latest science in order to address the five signs of skin sensitivity.”

The science-backed formula in the improved Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser now includes Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), which helps strengthen the skin barrier, improve tone and soothe skin; Panthenol (Vitamin B5), which helps increase skin’s hydration while decreasing overall water loss for a more supple appearance and to soothe skin sensitivity; and Glycerin, which draws water into skin to increase and maintain hydration levels. Together, they help address Skin dryness, irritation, roughness, tightness and weakened skin barrier—with the same gentle effectiveness that has made Cetaphil popular since the ‘40s.

As a nod to the improved formula, Cetaphil is also rolling out a brand new look for its products, including an updated logo and modern packaging with color-coding for specific skin types.

The improved Cetaphil products are now available at Watsons and Mercury Drug stores starting March 1. You may also visit the Watsons online store It will also be available in the flagship stores of Cetaphil starting March 28 in Shopee and Lazada on March 30. To learn more about current and upcoming Cetaphil products, follow Cetaphil Philippines on Facebook and Instagram, or visit www.cetaphil.com.ph.

New July dates confirmed for ASEAN Gaming Summit 2022

Asia Gaming Brief is pleased to announce that the ASEAN Gaming Summit will now be taking place at the Shangri-La At The Fort in Manila on 25-27 July 2022.

The in-person conference was originally due to take place at the Shangri-La At The Fort in Manila on March 21-23, 2022, but a unanimous decision was made to push back the event given the disruptions caused by the Omicron variant in Asia.

The new July dates takes into consideration the expected continued reopening of the region’s travel borders and rising vaccination rates in the Philippines.

“The most important aspect of our ASEAN Gaming Summit conference is being able to offer our delegates and sponsors a complete package of networking opportunities and educational content. We believe our new July dates will be able to achieve this whilst providing safety and security for our attendees,” said Felix Ng, conference director of the ASEAN Gaming Summit.

“Our conference has always been about fostering new and old business connections within the Asian gaming industry… and after two years of not being able to run an in-person gathering of gaming executives, we’re really excited to be able to work on it again this year.”

Registration for the ASEAN Gaming Summit is now live on http://www.aseangaming.com. Conference passes are charged at a flat rate of $2,395 per attendee (though group discounts are available). Asia Gaming Brief will continue to provide a Covid-19 ticket refund guarantee.

Fet Boys is the creation of Chef Kirk Ngo

With just a few days till Christmas Day, there are still a lot of people who don’t know what they can give as a gift. Since a lot of people have learned the art of living with less, the want for material things has waned.

Fret now because we have the perfect gift idea for you. Introducing Fet Boys, the chocolate chip cookie that took the year 2020 by storm. Hailed as the best chocolate chip cookie of 2020 by prominent food blogs, Fet Boys makes the kind of cookies that you need this Christmas.

Fet Boys is the creation of Chef Kirk Ngo. He came home to the Philippines during the pandemic and decided to pursue his dream of launching his chocolate chip cookies which took him 2 years to perfect.

The start of the show is called The Too Much Chocolate Chip Cookie. Made of Belgian Dark Couverture and California Walnuts, these cookies are best eaten with either coffee, milk, juice, or just on their own. The Fet Boys Too Much Chocolate Chip Cookies come in two sizes, the Giant and the regular size.

For the Christmas season and due to demands left and right, Fet Boys has come up with a Christmas box that will allow you to enjoy both the giant size and the regular version in one go. People who don’t like too much sweetness will enjoy this because it’s not too sweet either. The sweetness is just right that even diabetics can eat a piece of this.

Treat yourself for surviving these crazy times or treat someone you love. If you can’t think of what to give this Christmas season, the Fet Boys Too Much Chocolate Chip Cookies is absolutely perfect. Not too sweet, crunchy yet moist, and it gets better as days pass by. Fet Boys is all about good vibes and comfort food and these days, that’s the thing that we most need.

If you would like to experience being hugged by a cookie, , you may message the Fet Boys on their Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/fetboys

Filipino Bloggers Network holds 10th Annual Thanksgiving Party

It was a decade ago when the Filipino Bloggers Network (FBN), one of the most active Philippine-Based community of bloggers and influencers in the country, held its first-ever Thanksgiving Party in a hotel in Quezon City.

This coming December 12, FBN will hold its 10th Annual Thanksgiving Party virtually to reacquaint with fellow members around the country and reminisce 120 months of challenges and cheers; 3,650 days of networking; countless stories and priceless memories.

Although the gathering will still be online just like last year, FBN members anticipate the annual get-together as an opportunity to make new friends and catch up with old pals they have not seen for a while, not to mention the chance of winning some exciting prizes from the games and raffle draws. Representatives of different PR groups and brands will also grace the event to personally thank members of the online community who have supported them in the past years.

FBN currently has around 2,000 members across the country and abroad and continues to expand as it provides a venue for Filipino bloggers to interact with other members, even those based overseas. Moderating the discussions and posting opportunities from several brands are co-admins Divine Reyes and Richard Mamuyac and Lariza Garcia.

“Ang Magulang” by: Lady Galadriel

Paano kaya nila nakakayanan yun? Wala silang magulang para mayakap at masandalan. Bakit nila nagagawang ngumiti kahit masakit?
